Viper 479v lost remote!

hey I donno if anyone has this answer, but I lost my remote for the Viper resonder 2-way transmitter with remote start...I have a new one on order but I would like to know if there is anyway I could disable the alarm until I get the new transmitter remote? I do have a vallet button I believe next to the coin holder on the left hand side and I still have the key, would inserting the key and turning it on simply disarm it, I don't need to arm the alarm Ill simply lock the doors until I do get the remote. Re: Viper 479v lost remote!

Yes, there is a way to turn it off. You have to use your valet button.

Go into the car (the alarm will be going crazy) and turn your key to the "ON" position.

Then you will press the valet button either 1-5 times (Present by your installter) within 15 seconds. Once you press the preset number of times, the alarm should turn off within 5 seconds.

If that does not work, you might have either got the wrong preset times or you waited longer than 15 seconds. turn your key to OFF and try it again.

Re: Viper 479v lost remote!

after you disarm, i'm not sure if the car will go in valet mode or not. If the car is in valet mode, your alarm light should have a solid glow to it. it should not blink at all. that's how you will know if you're in valet mode or not.

If the indicator alarm light is not a solid Red or Blue (depending on the color of your alarm light) then you will need to put it in valet mode until your remote arrives.

Go into your car and turn the key to the "ON" position again. this time just press the valet button "ONCE" only and wait for 10 seconds. after 10 seconds your alarm light should stay on.

To exit valet mode, just do the same thing again and the light should turn back off.
