Coil wiring

So I have been on in awhile. Mostly because I have not done anything with my civic. But I am trying out a WOT Box an SRT guy told me about. I am having a problem with the coil wiring. First question is it a CDI system? If so that might be causing the problem. Second the wires. Each coil has 3 wires. Here is my understanding. Black is ground. Black w/ white is hot. The other wire comes from the ECU and says when to fire. So the Box is supposed to cut the power to the coils during shifts so it does on continue to rev. So I cut the black w/ white wire and ran it through the box but that did not seem to work. Everything else seems to be hooked up right. Any ideas? Re: Coil wiring

The device is the N2MB WOT Box. http://www.npcompleteperformance.com/wotbox
It allows shifts at wide open throttle which reduces the time off the throttle. It helps mostly with turbo applications because you do not lose boost during shifts.

Update:
I think I figured it out. I think I wired the clutch switch wrong. I used the lower one and probably should have used the top switch. No dice. I get no response from the top switch. I think that is still my problem because when I test it like the instructions say. The light blinks for the gas. Then I press the clutch in and nothing happens. Then when I release the clutch it pauses and then starts blinking again.

Re: Coil wiring

Got it all figured out with help from the guys at npcompleteperformance. Had to flash the box with a new version. Also the rpm wire ended up needing to be moved to the ignition coil #1 signal. So at 2-Step, holding clutch then WOT, engine cuts in and out to limit rpm for launch. Then at WOT shift the engine cuts for a designated amount of time to allow shift then back on. Cannot wait to take it for a drive. The only thing that would be sweeter is if I ever get around to having enough money for a turbo.
