Dual pro beam angel eyes with hid

Just bought dual pro beam lights with angel eyes and a HID kit. I would like some help with the wiring. Here is what I'd like to do but not sure if it is possible.

1. Have the angel eyes come on with the DRL
2. Have the DRL and angel eyes turn off when the HID is turned on
3. Have the HID and angel eyes turn off if and when I use the high beam

Basically I'd like it to work pretty much like stock. Is it possible to split the harness (going from a single housing H4 to dual housing H3 one HID one halogen which would be my DRL and high beam)

Thanks for the help
Cheers

Re: Dual pro beam angel eyes with hid

I'm going to try to clarify a bit better what I want to do.

When car turns on:
Inner lamps (halogen DRL) lamps come on angel eyes come.

Turn switch to parking lamp setting:
DRL stay on angel eyes stay on parking lamps turn on

Turn switch to headlight:
Outter lamp (HID) lamps turn on inner lamps (halogen DRL) turn off angel eyes turn off parking lamps stay on

Push stick forward (high beams)
Inner lamp turns on (Halogen high beam) Outter lamp (HID) turns off angel eyes stay off parking lamps stay on

Am I correct that the inner lamp (H3 halogen) runs at 30% for DRL and full with high beam? (similar to the way a H4 works)

I would like it to work like a stock H4 but with 2 H3 bulbs instead of one H4

Hopefully this is a little more clear

Cheers

Re: Dual pro beam angel eyes with hid

okay some problems of doing that. first, angel rings are very dim, barely qualifies as a park light so it wont be visible at all during the day. second, the leds that light it are terrible quality and are often wired wrong so they burn out in a few months. the drl works at 50% power because in DRL mode, they are connected in series.

basically the wiring could have been easy if you wanted the halos on with park light and off with headlight. the drl complicates things because the drl power wire will only be at 6v. the leds of the angel ring need around 12v. so to be honest, i dont see this working or being practical. you can always put the angel ring leds on a separate switch and turn it on whenever you want.

Re: Dual pro beam angel eyes with hid

you would need a relay of some kind to turn them on and off when you turn on your low beams and high beams.

I can live with the halos coming on with the park lights.

How about this,
Car turns on
inners on (halogen)

Park lamp setting
halos come on inner stays on

Head lamp setting
Outter comes on (HID) inner off halos off park lights on

doable??

Thanks

Re: Dual pro beam angel eyes with hid

to make the halo come on with park light but turn off with main headlight, all you do is attach the halo power wire to the parking light power wire, then attach the halo ground to the 12v headlight power wire. the 12v wire is the one that becomes hot when the lo beam is used. this way, the halo will come on with park light because it gets power from park light wire, and ground thru the 12v headlight wire (when its off). but when you turn headlight on, the 12v becomes power and then the halo has both wires getting power, so it will shut off. same way i had mine hooked so they only stay on with park light.

Re: Dual pro beam angel eyes with hid

basically, bumper comes off, then the hardware holding the light on. theres two bolts on top, one on the side, and one kinda underneath you need a socket extension to reach. once its out, the new light should be plug and play into your stock headlight connector. usually the same turn and park sockets are used as well. you will need to aim the main projectors, and to do this the headlight has to be off the car so you can turn the bolt in the back of the housing. be ready to install it and then take it out a few times until the aim is just right. the lower cutoff line should be 2 inch lower than the height of your headlights at 25 ft away. simply means 2 inch downward slope of the light beam at 25ft away. so you dont blind people.
