any double din or single din will work. go to www.crutchfield.com and put in your car and they'll tell you everything that fits and everything that wont.

Re: Pioneer FH-P8000BT

yeah, thats the reason i'm asking cause crutchfield is saying that it won't fit. they keep referring to the stock receiver to be 2 7/32" tall, the pioneer is 4" but they don't realize that combined with the storage compartment it's 4.5" tall. i figured that since the D3 fit it would fit also? i was just hoping someone on here had experience with this deck. i'm assuming i'll have to get an adapter once i take the entire unit out?

Re: Pioneer FH-P8000BT

crutchfield will only tell you what will fit exactly. they are really precise and are their mainly for the newbs in car audio. there are plenty of way to make things fit like my jl audio 6 1/2 components for example. crutchfield said they wouldnt fit. all i had to do was make a new ring to mount to the door.

anyway back to this thread.. im sure it will work out. if it comes down to it and you have plenty of time get a metra dd kit and mold it to your console to make it look factory. that would be sick!

grab a double-din dash kit from circuit city or something and it'll fit like its factory they usually run about $20

Basically any receiver will fit in your car. You'll just need to pick up the dash kits.

Yes, it is the FH-P8000BT. I really love it. Typical great Pioneer sound, bluetooth, USB & aux hookups, iPod control (which I don't use personally) -- it's great!

Re: Pioneer FH-P8000BT

Hey I'm looking to pick up this unit tonight, there's an awesome online sale going on but it ends tomorrow morning.

I'm just a little concerned about putting it in my 2001 Civic, how hard is it to put a double DIN unit like this in, is it simply a matter of getting the right dash kit?

Thanks guys.
