When I lock the car with the alarm, the driver side won't lock but the passenger side will. I have to either push the lock myself when I'm in the car, or lock the car with my key when I'm out of it. Also, my alarm will not activate unless the car is locked. I've been reading the forums and I'm trying to see if its the actuator or maybe a fuse.
check for power at the actuator. if you have power, then bad actuator.

get a multimeter, take the door panel off, take the electrical connector off the actuator, press the door lock/unlock switch while checking for voltage.

Re: 2002 LX power door lock question

You're not crazy. My daughter's 2002 Civic did the same thing with the locks. First the key fob would lock, but the alarm didn't engage. Then the passenger door would lock, but not the driver side. Now none of it works. the battery has been replaced. I talked to my mechanic. He checked with a buddy of his that is a Honda mechanic. There is a way to reset the locks. I'm not exactly sure how you do it, but it can be done. Something about holding down the button on the fob, then turning the key.
