DIY: Push Button Starter w/o S2000 button

dude thank you I was like wigging. I had never actually tested my resistors for the proper voltage before I just hooked them up and let them go. I guess I just wanted to make sure this one was right since I paid 20.00 bucks for the switch with no way to put a new led in it if it goes bad. Unless you can take it apart. Anyway thanks bud.

You're welcome. It makes perfect sense why it happened, but its not a major mistake. People do it all the time. Don't let it bother you.

Also know that when you measure voltage from one thing to another, it is measuring the voltage drop across that thing. So you want about 8.5 volt drop across the resistor so the LED is seeing ( 14.4 - 8.5 ) V at the very highest.

bump up to a 550 or 600 ohm resistor them.

Yeah I recalculated yesterday and it said go with a 510. So I'm going to radio shack today to find the closest I can.
