Hertz is great stuff, I'm running Hi-Energy in my front stage. I don't know about a 15" for SQ, they can be a bit boomy and need a large box usually. Maybe look at a single 10" or 12"

Where are you getting Hertz from?

bass is the last consideration for an SQ system. fact is, if you do your homework with the stage, you cna practically throw together the bass at the last second the night before a competition and still do very, very well at show.

so go for whatever you like. shouldnt affect things too much, after tuning.

come listen to my 15 and tell me it sounds boomy

one of the most highly revered sq subs of all time, the Image Dynamics IDW, ONLY came in 15" and 18" sizes...

for a year you will want louder subs. forever after that year you will want quality.
