Whats so sweet about the tweeter? My kicker RS Components just left the car, I now have Kicker SS65.2's in the kickpanels along with the Kicker SSMB6 6" Midbass. SS's run about $899.99 for a set of components (Crutchfield). All for free, heh. Its nice to have people who are willing to help you out since you spend so much damn money at there shop.
good call, bro... your car is sick and you definitely have a nice system... the SS series components and midbass are an AWESOME choice, they just weren't a very good choice for my car... i'm very particular about my sound staging and everything else, and with the way my components are setup, there was no difference in sound quality between the SS and RS components, and since mine WEREN'T free, i stuck with the RS lol... again, awesome ride though

I'm am so picky on what goes in my car, thats why i chose the RS series, but then talking to the shop he told me he would take the RS out and install the SS since i bought the Alpine IVA-D310 and he done all the fiberglass work. My imaging is on the money, kick panels and midbass with the 30 band EQ helps a ton.

yeah, the imaging in our cars isn't bad, even with the midbass in the door and the tweets in the stock sail panel locations... but the kickpanels are definitely an improvement... i'm not running kick panels though, all my components and coaxials are glassed into the doors and console... hard to explain, but hopefully i'll be finished up by February and i'm gonna blow up Derek's server with all the pics that i'm going to upload lol...
/\ LOL, i can't wait to get my shit all done, trunk lid will be fiberglassed along with the dash that houses my Alpine IVA-D310.
trunk lid is a BITCH to glass lol... i am about 4 seconds away from taking it to a shop and having them finish it up... i want to put a few more Kicker coaxials and a couple monitors in the lid, but it's already getting heavy with the sound deadening and everything, so that may not happen... like i said, pictures soon...
everyones lovin the jl-alpine combos..........what about jl/old skool RF/boston acoustics
the old school Fosgate amps were some of the best amps ever made IMO... i have a 500.2 from '97 that is stable down to like .25 ohms... it's ridiculous... i still have a '96 Punch 50.2 in my garage that works as good as it did the day i bought it...
I have a Rockford Fosgate Punch 800A2 amp and that damn thing could power a bus, Rockford amps used to be the brand to buy. And i also have an older school Rockford back from 96 that could still power the best subs out there. Only downfall to the punch amps is that they got hot quick and would shut off.
Hey USA, if i would want to do a 5.1 Surround Sound and get the center channel speaker from Alpine, would i need the PXA-H701 Multimedia Manager? And if I bought that i would then need the RUX-C701 to control it. But would that pretty much face out my KQ30?
You can control the PXA thru the IVA-D310, so the controller isnt necessary. It is kind of nice to have separate control though. The Alpine Center channels arent that impressive for sound, but more for function. They have the one that sits on top of the dash (pretty tacky), and the DIN sized one also. If you really want to have a center and make it sound good, get a decent component, like a Boston Pro 4 or 5.25, something like that, load it with some power and it will sound a lot better. Tuning with a center takes a lot more finesse too. The PXA-H701 is the newer model that does 5.1 and a ton of EQing power, Ive got it in my pickup. The other option would be the PXA-H510, which is a much more toned down version, but still does 5.1 I have one that is not being used but its got some scratches on it.
