yea, he means if you have a single din headunit and install it in the top space, you can add a center channel below it, alpine makes one that fits right in there like a cd player.
You can always fiberglass one on the dash, i've seen it done a few times.
drew22mader I see you are from Portsmouth, Ohio if you don't mind me asking what area of Portsmouth. I grew up there and Still own part of the families Farm off of St Rt 73.
Hey i live in town by Southern Ohio Medical Center. Post up some pics of your car.
Also if any one has a sugestion for a good location for a center stage speaker other than the second din, I have a computer with a 7" Monitor in that location and not enough room to place a speaker there also.
How much are you looking to spend? That would help alot.
On a head unit? prefer not alot.. saw one the other day... I think it was a Alpine for like $240. Guy said it would cost like $650 for sterio and install of radio, amp and both subs w/ wiring.. Car Toys i think is the name of the store i went to.
you wouldnt rather wire it up yourself? Its not very hard and you learn alot about your system by doing it yourself. only thing is, the rear deck is a bitch to take off
last time I wired my own stuff in, I blew a few speakers
we all have to start somewhere... the first system i ever did was a JVC tape deck install in my dad's '87 Jeep Grand Wagoneer lol... i thought i did a pretty badass job twisting and taping all those wires together, but after a couple trips back and forth down our dirt road, just about all of the connections had come loose and i fried the head unit... then on top of that, when i went to disconnect the battery before i fixed the head unit, i spot-welded my brand new Craftsman ratchet to the top of the positive post when it touched while i was disconnecting the negative terminal...
anyway, props for at least trying... if you ever decide to try again, here's a link to check out that will help get you on your feet and hopefully help you stop blowing shit up lol
spot welded it! LOL! thats the funniest damn thing i've ever heard. i bet that was a fun day. I installed my old stereo in my blazer, actually 2 of them. and installed 3 of my friends. But with my civic i let them professionally do it and do it right plus i don't have time.

AHAHAHA yea that sucks, ive arc welded stuff before while removing a battery, its kinda funny once you realize your not gonna die from it.
oh and yea i did all my install, you learn alot and its great fun! ive done a few HU installs on other peoples cars too. i make sure ALL connections are soldered, then covered in heat-shrink tube then taped up. thats the best way. oh yeah drew they twisty capped the HU you sold me so you may wanna ask them to solder it instead.

They only capped the ends that weren't being used, you have to remember that all my stuff is amplified so they didn't need the speaker wires hooked up to anything.
