because they are no longer hosted. most of us have a finite amount of online disc space on personal sites, and tend to rotate information as suits our needs. date on this thread is pretty old, so chances are the information was deleted long ago.

a proceedure? very simple:

remove C-pillars.
remove backs of the backseats. they are held in by a single bolt between the 60/40 sections.
remove the bottom of the backseat. this is also a single bolt exposed by the removal of the seatbacks. the front of the bottom just unsnaps, pull quickly and firmly.
remove the two screws holding in the two rear sidepanels. they are located just above the *oh shit!* handles.
remove the rear sidepanels. you can unsnap the panelpoppers starting at the rear deck and peel them away.
remove the rear deck. its only held in with panel poppers. Dont forget to disconnect the third brake light before removal.

remove the four screws holding in the stock 6x9's.

youve now got a flat surface with four good threaded holes to mount a baffle to. screw your new 6x9's or 6.5's to the baffle. Or leave them open for bass passage.

down and dirty, but its functional. reassemble in reverse order. check for cone/rear deck collision during loud play before reinstalling the rear sidepanels.

Yeah, this thread is pretty old, but pics would be great since I'm planning to install speakers soon. I need a miracle. I need these pictures to work!

They haven't been working for awhile now. Anyway, I just did this the other day. It was pretty easy. The fun part was taking out the rear seats for the first time. After you take off the rear seats, it's basically common sense from there. Just start unclipping the rear deck.

Just so everyone is aware, there was an ownership change and the merging of two sites within the last four or five months. As a result, many of the pics no longer work, either because people pulled them or the broken links from the merger haven't been fixed, yet.

It'll take some time for them to hunt down all of the problems. Best bet is to contact civicDave and let him know what's up, so he can keep track of it all.

Later...
