I just installed one a few weeks ago in an RSX Type S.. a lot of work.. I guess it's worth the money though. I think it's cool how it gives you real time analysis. I suppose it's a toss up.. if you've installed a navigation system before, this is about the same general idea as far as installation goes.

Wow, that's not a bad price at all for installation. Our shop would probably charge $100-$150.. well, probably less if you bought it from us too I suppose.. ehh
I don't have the unit, but I installed one in an rsx at work. it's not really too horrible I suppose. Just a lot of work.. it involves splicing into your reverse sense, speed sense, and other misc things like that. Nothing hard, just time consuming finding all the wires and running them while keep a clean look. In the rsx, I put the unit underneath the driver's seat.. luckily there was enough room there for all the wires and the unit and still maintain operation of the seat to go forward, backward, up and down without hitting any wires or anything. one of the main issues with that specific brain box, is that it must be mounted on a flat surface so you can't just dump it in a panel or under the steering column and it has to be mounted parallel with the car as well.. just a bunch of little happy horse $hit things like that

i just got my unit today in fedex.....will be intalling in today......installation....seems to easy then wat i thought......only hard part is the finding speed wire....here some pic
The vehicle speed sense wire is white with a green stripe located at the PCM.. which is behind the glovebox in connector A, pin 18. The speed sense wire is also blue with a white stripe at the cruise control module which is located at the left of the steering column.
Nothing difficult, just time consuming.. always test your wires first..
Good luck!

that green wire i hooked up to ebreak.....
now some of the future i can't use while drving like cange colors vechiel....stuff like that only can when my ebreak is up, is their any way i can use this future while i am driving ??????like hook up a swich like for dvd player.....
yes you can but its easier to lift the e-brake just enough until the indicator lights up on the dash then you can adjust everything. on our cars i dont know why anyone installs switches vs. putting a hackysack under the e-brake handle

when i lift the E brake littlebit.....just enought to get the light up...i will be able to probllly dind't try ....but that wont slow my car.....???? does it relly using my ebrake???
if you take you center console off you will see a pin switch near your e-brake. that pin switch is what tells your hu and dash that the e-brake is engaged. and no it wont slow your car down if you lift it just enough to get the light to come on.

for my hu i had to put a toggle swicth to watch dvd while draving......grounding ebrake didnt working........sence this avg-vdp...show location...rmp hp all that stuff on screen......now this unit also got saprate ebrake wire....now if i just same thing that i did for my hu....will it show rpm..gps...that stuff? ????
kiker i did that alrady for my dvd and it works......but how about the avg-vdp1 it also have that wire....it has gps...system....so if i do that will my gps would work ???
most likely the 1st notch on the e-brake is doing NOTHING but making the pads go closer to the drums. i should say don't do it but unless someone actually knows it will cause harm i doubt you will hurt anything
well i did it but it enable the options only for sec or 2 then disable even my ebrake is up.....cuz it sees that car is moving or somthing i dont wat to next now
