2004 Civic DX coupe factory radio uninstall question
I read the Megahertz DIY pictorial on installing headunits. I tried to help my friend install her new headunit too but she has a 2004 DX automatic coupe and I noticed that the panel where the 12volt socket is located is the same as the LX model like in the picture. I followed crutchfields instructions but it turned out to be like 2002-2003 instructions which said to pry out that panel without taking out the center console pieces, as a result i cracked that part where the 12 volt socket is and i found out that it was not removable but instead i would have to remove the center console just like Megahertz did.
My question is, since i cracked the rectangular plastic trim where there are two extra accessory slots and the 12volt socket, can someone tell me if the plastic trim with the two empty accessory square plugs and 12volt socket and the trim that surrounds it to near the hand automatic shifter are one piece all together? Because i plan on purchasing a new one to replace it. Any feedback and help would be great. Thanks
