Pioneer 2ch Amp or Power Acoustik 2ch

Hey ok time for the system. I have a Pioneer DEH-7600Mp headunit all pioneer speakers. Now i am wondering what kind of amp shoudl i go with for this setup, 2 MTX 6000 10's (got them and a box from a friend for 25 bucks so hey) they are DVC at 4 OHMs each. My choices are Pioneer GM-5100T(Rms125X2@4Ohms) or Power Acoustick OV2-820(Rms180X2@4Ohm). The PA amp is a lil bit more power and pre outs and lil more money but i was wondering how is the PA quality/Value VS. the Pioneer. Thanks for the input. And would a 2ch amp be my best bet for pushing these 2 10's. not looking to spend over 150 on the amp.both these subs are 250 Rms 500 Max.

I had a 4 channel Power Acoustik that blew a channel - it lasted almost 6 years through 3 vehicles. If you're on a budget it's not a terrible brand od amp, but one of the downsides of it is poor noise filtration. I had to use RCA filters to deal with alternator whine....

I now use Alpine only - nice clean quiet power !!

pioneer amps are crap unless you spen alot that amp is only good for 6x9s even the official pioneer rep told us this at our private meetings with him. pio also has set alot of cars on fire with their amps. their speakers are probably the best bang for the buck and the decks are sweet

go for a nice Alpine or JBL or MTX. they can be had for not much more than those two I'm sure and they would definately be higher quality.

why not drive MTX subs with an MTX amp?

I have an Alpine, my buddy has a SoundStream and an MTX. all are great in their own right. I have dealt with JBLs as well and I like them.

you want a 2 ch. 2 dual 4 ohm subs run at 4 or 1 ohm so if you get a 1 ohm stable 1 ch amp your paying about 3 to 4 times the price of original amps.

If you're looking for something inexpensive, you might look at US Acoustics. They're a little hard to find, but SoundDomain carries them. They run cool, and their power ratings are calculated at 12.9V, which I understand means that they 'do more with less' as far as vehicle voltage.

I'm happy with mine (I have two).

I got my vote on MTX. I had a 275x what pounded a 12" sub when bridged and pushed some 6x9's crips and clean with never a problem

radioactive77 has a little shameless behaviour in the past

ive been installing pioneer amps for 6 years and never seen one catch anything on fire, but i have seen an alpine and mtx catch on fire. the problem ended up being INSTALLER ERROR, not the actual amps.

i would get a pioneer over a power accoustik. IMO
