As far as running the wires through the car how do you get the trim pieces pulled up by the door and in the rear cabin. The car is a 2k4 coupe ex. Any & all help is greatly appriciated.

bty: are there any pics of the whole install process, i searched but couldn't really find anything
Pull off number 1, then numer 2 only flaps up. (I couldn't get all of number 2 off just the part where you see number 2). And run the power and remote wire under both of those.

Push the power and remote wires up and under the carpet and it should end up under your rear seats (have to remove rear seats).

Red is the power and purple is the remote. *note wires will be under the carpet and panels.

You might have to remove the two bolts that are connected to the seat belt thingy you see there. To lift up the third panel.

Sorry but I don't know where to host these pictures.

Grommet:
From the engine bay. Where the intake area is, just look straight down and towards the firewall.
Is there anything to keep the wire away from aka hoses, moving parts or anything on this side of the engine??

There are not really that many moving parts on that side of the engine (at least it won't tangle and get caught on something). Use zip ties for safety, and tie them onto existing wires. Just look around. I didn't have to use zip ties. I just used whatever I could find in the engine to set my wires on. As you can see in the picture; I used that bronze looking thing to hold all my wires, and just ran them straight up on the firewall then to my battery.

Did you take out the rear seats? Also when you ran the wire down spot 2, do you just run it on top of the metal under the trim along the wire that is already there?

^^ yes and yes (used zip tie and followed the black wire all the way to the rear seats).

i got the number 2 panel off, kinda bent the tab a little, but anyways, now I'm having trouble getting it down past the little stand offs or whatever on the panel. Any suggestions?

"stand offs or whatever on the panel"??? The panel where the second bolt of the seat belt thing is?

Yeah that part is a bitch to feed the wires up to. I had to stick one hand from number 2 and the other under the rear seats area to feed it through. Hardest part for me.

I finally got it all back together on the passside, and I still have the center console out, so I am gonna run my rca's up the middle.

If i run 4ga to a dist that goes to 8 ga would I not need to use a 4 ga ground since it is the largest wire in the loop?

i am confused...where and what is the grommet? I have attached a picture, right now i am thinking that the grommet is where the red arrow is pointing..and if it is do i just poke a hole into it and pull the power wire through it? Or is it somewhere where i circled in blue? Thanks.

I dunno... I read that some ppl asked the same question before and the person just answered yes. Dunno if they understood the question or not. But I ran mine through the red arrow and it works fine. Just get a coat hanger and poke a hole through.

The blue circled part is part of the velcro...

2001 - The DIY lists the area in BLUE as a second firewall grommet - if your 2k1 Civic is like mine, there isn't one there. I'm not sure if other model years are different or not.

I did my install in July and had to go through the area you circled in RED (the alternative was to have a hole drilled) - poke a coat hanger gently and carefully through it, being mindful of the existing wire harness so that you don't damage anything.
