^where do you get all the materials and what do you need?
Other than auto parts stores, etc, you might want to google online for Bondo (that's the brand) and can order direct from them. You also might want to look here: www.selectproducts.com

A little steep for a catalogue isn't it? And if it's a dealer catalogue, don't they normally give those to people for tsell their product from? Anyway, let me know how it goes.
i personally dont like using touchscreens. doesn't feel right to be pushing on a screen all the time. anyone ever try to complement a touch screen carputer with a touchpad mouse? i think it would be really nice if someone was able to integrate a mousing device into an ergonomic position. ie. at the edge of a custom armrest.

I also intend to use some form of input device like that, but I still cherish the idea of a touch screen. I don't see what could be better than pointing where you are looking, quick and easy, no distractions.
Have you gotten to try out the screen in the car yet with the glare? I've had my lilliput molded into the dash like that for about 6 months now and during the day the glare is pretty bad, even with 20% tints. I didn't recess mine at all like you did though, so it might be better for you.
I molded mine in without any buttons and have soldered in the capacitor so it automatically turns on with the opus and it works great. Never even needed to use any buttons on the screen at all, so you certainly shouldn't have any problems.
Where are you mounting your actual computer? I built a false floor in my trunk out of mdf and put the computer underneath there, I'll have to take some pictures.
