audio, i think this is just a case where you used poorly chosen words to express yourself. I have to admit I was even ready to say something in J's defense, until I read your last post. This type of thing happens all time here. I am sure there are no hard feeling. Lets see pics of your screen.

TheKuai, actually it's for a full fledged computer running winXp in the making. I'll keep you posted.

Audio - I'm actually a very nice guy, as you explained you werent' trying to take digs, just offer another view, I'm happy to hear what you have to say. I'd love to see your project too. You should probably take Hebegz post as the most important thing here, it was strictly the way you presented yourself. For instance, you got a buddy working hard on something but doing it the wrong way while you watch, do you burst out laughing (chuckling) or do you constructive tell him you might now of another way . . .
No big deal, just thought you were on offense there, you know. Anyway, start another post and throw up some pics of your proj, if your bro owns a shop, I'm sure the work will be banging and we'd all love to see it.
BtW, there is now possible way that you used the same screen I did and did not cut plastic to fit it, so it's kind of a moot point that I had to cut the plastic. Also, how is bulldog primer, I think I've heard good things about and if it is the brand my friend uses, I've been meaning to give it a try - I like primer with good filling properties a little bit on the light side.

HD carry fg mats that more suitable to these type of work instead of raw glass fibers.
its easier to work w/, just cut to shape and apply resin/hardner.

yea thanks guys I did come off the wrong way and Im glad you saw through that and accepted my applogy. Im gonna take the digi to the shop today or tomorrow and start a separate thread with pics of my work and the shop car. J187 i read that you are going use the screen for a computer setup. That sounds pretty sweet. Our shop car is equiped with a mobile linx computer system(thank you mobile linx-sponsor-) and having a computer in the car is very trick. Can't wait to see some finished pics of your project

One more time for the reading impared. He's using Bondo-glass. That's bondo with fiberglass fibers mixed already. It applies and mixes like bondo with added fiber strength. Tiger hair is another name for it. Yes, laying up is strong, but for thie project it wan't necessary, plus he had some left over from teh other project, so why waste it?

Painted and just the way I wanted it. I kept the IR Sensor and the power button. I lost the pics w/ all buttons so until I find those, your just going to have to take my word for it that it looked a little busy!
