Front driver side door speaker rattle

Recently my front left speaker has started rattling at certain frequencies. Is it most likely just a matter of tightening something up? It's not too annoying yet but I'd like to fix it soon. Should I try it myself or should I take it back to CC and be like "that speaker you installed is rattling. Can you fix it?"

Personally, I'd ask CC if they wouldn't charge me to look at it. If there was any possibility of a charge, I'd take a peek myself first. COuld be anything.

I'd ask CC to look at it like J187 said. My door vibrates as well with certain bass lines though. I think that maybe there are some bad resonance properties of the door because I've tightened and retightened everything. Maybe I'll finally have to buy some deadening material.

Adding damping pads to our doors is the one easy thing to do on our cars. The doors pop off and on easily and you can add damping pads on the sheet metal and behind the speaker with relative ease.

Oops, I forgot about this thread. It just started happening so I don't think it's just certain frequencies. I mean, it is certain frequencies but the same songs didn't used to rattle so something has become loose I think.

Lock your door may help a bit. The door lock button vibrates(not the power one) sometimes.

^ omg I never thought of that. But I'm pretty sure it's coming from the speaker housing. I'll test that lock theory, tho. Thanks.

Dude I bet they did a lousy job installing it. I had to redo the entire install because they didn't know how to drill and part of the spacer had cracked loose.

Haha, what I said was just one of the thing. Anyway, I had the experence that the spacer support broke and it just kept rattling.
