HELP! i cut up the stock tweeter pod but still cant get my type r tweeters to fit

I.C.E. & Electrical Post all your I.C.E. (In Car Entertainment) and wiring questions here. (Audio, video etc.)

yeah
i have had like three pairs of tweets in there
all i did was notch out the insides
dremel tool
the biggest i had in there was atomics
so i know at least in the si we have plenty of room...

the alpine tweeters were huge...

i had to do more than just cut out the back piece...i had to use an exacto knife to shave off any excess plastic around the opening...if i didn't, there would be a large gap between the pod and the tweeter...the pod would also look bulgy...the tweeter also had to be forced into the pod...it wasnt an easy drop in...

how does the factory(honda) hook up the tweeters in the EX's anyways?...it is plug and play? or they hook it up with the front door speakers?


i would love to know that.

it's hooked up in parallel with the stock speaker

the tweeter's high pass filter is just a capacitor...there's no large crossovers...

if you you buy aftermarket tweeters, you need a crossover....

too much work for just tweeters...already have 8 in my car and 4 crossovers. thats good enough.

sound clean and clear yet its very bassy for just speakers

Thats exactly the way a system should be, proper placement and adjustment= not knowing where the sound is comming from, I personally like it that way, some people just want it loud, even if its distorted, yuk
