| Was gonne replace just subs, now replacing whole system, what you think? Ok, so I was originally going to just replace my blown sub for now. But, now, since I am alread going to be shopping, I started clicking around, and looking at different stuff. So I am likely, after my inclinations were spurned, to replace the whole setup as far as speakers go. So, I have compiled a list of products I was planning on using, and was wondering what your opinion was on them, good bad experiances, etc.
Originally, I was just going to replace my blown sub, but now, I am probably going to redo everything, minus the amps. Here's the equipment I have chosen, let me know what you think. Also, I am not really worried about SPL, I am mainly considering the SQ aspect. With that in mind, here's the new gear I am thinking will sound best with the amount of money I will spend:
Here's what is staying:
1. Pioneer Premier DEHP740MP HU
2. JL Audio 500/1 Mono amp (for subs)
3. JL Audio 350/4 for stock replacements
Stuff I will replace with:
1. Sub(s) : 2 Image Dynamics IDQ10V2D4 (I was thinking the 4-ohm version here, wired in series) in separate 0.5 cubic feet sealed enclosures
2. Front Fill: (Mids in DIY Glass kicks, Tweets in stock sail panel location) Focal 165V2 comp set or Diamond Audio M661 comp set
3. Rear Fill: Adire Audio Koda 6 midbass driver |
