Question Si cd player in Civic sedan... possible?

Hey fellas. I want to know if it's at all possible to hook up a Si cd player in a sedan? Are the dimensions at all close? I can't tell from the pic here but maybe some of you know off-hand. At first I thought the dimensions where close, but I can't tell if it angels in like it does on our cars on the right (passenger side)... If you want see, look for yourself here:

Si

sedan

How hard would this swap be? I suspect it should be straight forward and would quite simple... like any regular install at an audio shop. Anyone done this and have pics of it? Where did you go to get it done? I don't know if Honda would do it for me.

Do you know how many watts the Si cd player puts out? I hope it's a decent number... or at least better than the coupe/sedan cd player.

Thanks for the info.

Why would you want to. It would only be cool if you have the dash accent kit, to match.

Dont even bother.. For what you'd go through, it's not worth the trouble.

They use exact same wire harness. I am using metra wireharenss that i used on 02 ex. swapped right into 03 si. No problem. However, My old (02 ex) aftermarket headunit installation kit did not fit on 03 si. I wish i had stock 02 ex headunit , so i could compare . I belive size is slightly different. si stock headunit probably produce same wattage as 7thgen civics. Stock headunit isnt that great..

I went to Honda today for my oil change.

I looked at the Si and the coupe side by side, by side, and by side again. It looks pretty close measurement wise.

I am still thinking if this is worth it. The coupe/sedan cd players are pretty much the same in look and such but the Si is in silver. Buttons are in the same spot, but some things are different.

I just want to accomplish a exclusive but stock look. I am tired of taking my face plate in and out. Maybe I'll just save up and go with a aftermarket.

looks to be the same.if you want an exclusive but stock look get the Denon or Nakamichi units...they look stock at first glance but are pretty exclusive.

3 reasons

1. I get tired of dragging my bitch-ass face plate around everywhere I go when I take the car out.

2. I drive a silver sedan. It would match.

3. Going stock wont hurt anyone, I will have less worry about theft. It's probably one of the best choices.
