i ordered an audiocontrol DQT equalizer on monday, and it arrived today. its a digital EQ, 2 channel stereo 1/3 octave. this thing is kind of complex, but i think i got the hang of it. i need to spend some time adjusting the EQ this weekend, i'm sure its going to take a while.
the unit has 8 memory slots, so you can save 8 different EQ settings, i think i'll save 6 for the different genre of music i listen to, 1 for SPL, and one as FLAT, so i have something to compare to. another cool thing about the unit is that i can adjust the left and right boost or cut individually.
i still need to mount this thing properly, it will easily fit under the passenger seat, but i dunno if i want to do that.
i'll take pics of it on the weekend or something, if anyone is interested.
UPDATE: PICS
yea, i know, my trunks a mess, i'll clean it up when i get the chance, for now, going to watch the game (OU vs OSU), enjoy.

yeah, congrats on the EQ.......Audiocontrol owns !!!!! Under the passenger seat is a good place to mount it or y not in the trunk? And as far as adjusting it....it will take wks to do.....u will constantly be changing that thing........i was always playing with my eclipse EQ and that was only a 6 band. Bring on the pics.
also, i found that the unit has a remote port, so i emailed audiocontrol about it. turns out that they have plans to add an external remote control to it. basically a small thing with a screen on it, that plugs into the DQT via the remote port, and the external unit should allow you to do all the DQT functions. this might be what i'm looking for, so i can keep the DQT in the trunk, and be able to mess with it from the cabin.
That's some nice stuff you got there, i used to have an Audio Control EQT a few yrs back, got rid of it because the rest of my system sucked so it wasn't worth it ( i didn't buy it so no loss)
That's pretty cool to have a digital display/setting control, all the audio control Eq's of the past have had over 30 several pots for the over 30 different settings, i wouldn't "permanantly" mount it under a seat or in any hard to reach places until a few weeks from now or hoever long it takes you to get your settings all dialed in, you're going to be playing with the settings for quite some time.

yea, i have no plans on mounting it anywhere permanently right now, i haven't set a thing on it. i have long rca's on it right now, so i be in the drivers seat with the thing and adjust it.
i wish there was an easy way to do it, but i guess not.
