BEST and EASIEST tool to cut sheet metal?

I tried my dremel out yesterday with that super thin disc attachment wheel @ 35,000 RPM, it cuts EASILY, but the WHEEL wears down so fast right before my eyes before i can cut a fair amount of steel (for my components installation) is there a better or easier tool out there? im like 80% done cutting on the pass. door and im so tired of changing discs every 10 secs. Thanks. To remove this ad, register today for free or log in if already registered!

Not talking about that tungsten carbide bit right? I cant use that thing, kicks back too much. Got a pic or part# for that fiberglass wheel? The area where I cut is so jagged and ghetto, but looks like it will work

#456 1 1/2" Cut-Off Wheel

Found it. Thanks bro! Hey another question ludlam... whats the best kind of screws to tap into the chassis for ground? I guess im going to redo my ground for my amp, i used a cheesy screw, i checked itt out again..... It doesnt need to be self tapping cause ill drilla new hol using my dremel just so the screw will thread... and you know the little metal thing at the end of the ground cable (the terminal i guess), how do you clamp that down tight on the cable? My crimper didnt do that good of a job, or i guess i wasnt strong enough, and it IS a bit loose. Grr. The right tools make a world of difference. Dont they make some sort of terminal where i can feed the wire thru, then tighten it with a hex key so it will actually bite down on the wire strands?

If it's a piece of sheet metal you can get to both sides of with your hands, I would recommend a lock-washer and nut on a threaded screw. Then take your ground wire and crimp on a spade end to it, and put the spade under the head of the screw just before tightening the screw down. Nice thing is this can easily be taken-off or added-to.

Hope that helps a little.

any screw with a star or lock washer will work fine. be sure to sand the paint away also.

Thanks, Im kind of TOOL-illiterate, could you show me a pic of a screw with a lock washer or star? Is that one of those ones you can tighten by hand? Well, anyway, i dont think t his works on a one side application huh? the area im working with (the brace right under the passenger seat is obviously one sided. My friend said he could weld it to the chassis for me hehe... but i dont really want to go that route, i guess im going to go to the hardware store and look for soem kind of screw with a flat mounting surface

The crimper i usually use works great for crimping ends together for speaker wire and crimping wires together when installing head units, but i didn't have a big enough crimper for the ground wire on my car either, i was crimping one of those ring clamp things that you were talking about, all i did instead of using a crimper was i put the wire in, and took a hammer and used the pavement outside my house and the hammer to "crimp" the clamp onto the wire, worked as good as a crimper would have i guess, the wire is on there as solid as ever.

nibbler will make quick work of the sheet metal... you could also try some of the rotozip bits for the dremel (not sure if they'll interchange though) but my rotozip works great witht the metal bit in there... or you could use a jigsaw or sawzall(reciprocating saw) with a metal cutting blade, as far as crimping on the connector to the wire, you can buy some larger crimp tools at home depot/lowes for around 10 bucks...
