I have a 2010 civic lx auto trans. If I wanted to get a manual transmission what are things that i need to do? How much would it cost to about it?

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Check your BAR, CARB, and EPA regulations before you think about swapping something like that.
May be better off to sell your car and buy the one you really want.
JMO, but I'm serious.

From what I know, just the tranny, the engine would need the clutch master/slave hydrolics...and im guessing that you would have to cut a hole in the floorboard for the clutch pedal. I have an 06 thats a manual but i made sure i bought a manual to avoid wanting one. think it'd be easier to sell/trade the car for one with a manual than converting it... just my 2 cents.

Changing an auto to manual is no small task and will cost a pretty penny. If you want it in THAT car then go for it, other than that get a car with a stick already in it.
