I'm kinda at a standstill. I know most civics are turboed.. But i've heard on the newer Si's the turbo sits on the firewall.. So...that's a problem.. The second option would be supercharger.. Anyone have an opinion on this?

I'd buy a CT Engineering Supercharger. I like superchargers because they don't lag, they are cheaper, and I like the whine. What mods do you have right now? Make sure you let your car breath better before you go with a forced induction system. I.E. Headerback exhaust, Intake Manifold, throttle body and Cold Air Intake.

Turbo all the way. your going to end up wanting more from the car. I would have a bigger debate between all motor or turbo, a supercharger is not much cheaper and need to be rebuilt every ~80k a properly installed turbo will far outlast a supercharger in being needed to be rebuilt.

I bought my Civic for a daily driver, not to modify, but if I were to modify......turbo....period. Granted, the lag is there, but i have been on many forums, and honestly, have focused most of my interest in V8 muscle/trucks, but the turboed cars/trucks hand it to the SC versions. The Hemi Rams on the Hemitruckclub forum would lay down 50hp more with a turbo setup over an SC.....at the wheel. There are other ways to make up for the lag and some of the turbo setups do that for you as well. I know a while back there was one made for a Cummins that had variable technology that would almost act like a twin turbo setup, cutting out the lag but give you the upper end boost as well. But I can't remember now who that was that made it.
