What is a safe amount of boost for a 06 EX? I dont want to have to change any internals. I heard up to 8lbs of boost was safe which with tuning would get me up to about 200-210whp.

you should be making 200whp on way lower then 8lbs. I made 185.5 on only 5lbs with my 01 civic. Honestly there is no "safe" ammont of boost. The engines aernt designed for it but most people dont have problems below 8psi if thats what your asking.

Thanks, that helped me alot. Well if i do put 8lbs of boost...how much WHP am i looking at??
Of course i would have a Greddy blow-off valve....man...those sound so good.

8 psi on turbo A is a lot different than 8 psi on turbo B. There are several different factors to the equation. Ball-bearing or sleeve-bearing turbo? What A/R and housing are you thinking about? How big will your DP and exhaust be? Which engine management system? Piggyback or standalone? What clutch will you be running? Stock head and valvetrain? Stock bottom end?

All of these factors will play a role in how much whp you will have on dyno day, so it's hard to say "8 psi will give xxx ponies at the wheel". With the right setup and tune, you could hit over 200 at the wheels. With a different setup you might be lucky to hit 175. Too many variables.

The point with a stock bottom end is to not push it much past 200 whp (regardless of the amount of boost) without. better rods and pistons.

Greddy is a nice BOV, but I love the sound of my Tial as well.
