Boycott Phillips, Inc!!!

Alright, I'm callin' out to all my 7th Gen peeps worldwide here....

About a year and a half ago, Phillips (Magnavox, etc...) bought out the company that my dad worked for so that they could start a new division of production on medical equipment and high-resolution digital technology that is used in hospitals to diagnose patients with the use of X-ray and hi-tech cameras, etc... Immediately they started downsizing and "corporate restructuring". People got laid off left and right so they could cut corners and save a buck while preparing to head this new division of Phillips, Inc. Well, all the time, I was wary but thought my dad was high enough on the "food chain" to not be affected by this hostile takeover. I mean, he worked his ass off for this company for 15 years, could have ran the freakin' company in his sleep, and then these pricks come in and just use people like chess pieces to their advantage. Well, my dad got fired the other day. They called him in and told him he had an hour to leave the building and he was escorted out by security and told to leave the premises. He wasn't even allowed to say good-bye to the people he had become close friends with over all these years. They treated him like a dog and sent him out with nothing, except some measly serverance pakage that was merely a fraction of his annual salary!! He defined it as "the closest thing to rape" he may ever experience. These people are vicious monsters that use hard-working people like pawns and then throw them away when they become expendable. Therefore, I'm trying to reach out to all my peeps and promote a worldwide boycott on all things Phillips Magnavox. These people don't deserve one red cent of the hard-working dollars of the American people. They cheated and lied to get to the top and they stepped on everyone they could to get there. In this day of age, big businesses and giant corporate conglomerates like Phillips cannot be trusted and they have robbed my entire family of any trust we had at all. So now, it's time to rob back. Don't buy Phillips/Magnavox!!! Sorry for the rant. I'm a little bitter!!!!

i am sorry to hear about your dad, but little do people know this is happening in almost all major companies. My company had about 65 employees and they have let 9 go in the past 5 weeks so I understand where you are coming from. The only thing saving my a55 is that I am on site at our largest client and they already told my boss if I, or either of the 3 other employees also on site there are fired ,they will terminate the contract and hire us all.

yeah, welcome to corporate america... if we were to boycott all the companies that had practices like this, we'd be boycotting every company out there. I'm not saying that what they did to your dad was justified or correct, i'm just saying that this is the way the business world is and it's not fair. Corporate heads do this type of stuff because they can, and so they can make the most money, and that is the bottom line. realistically, they are just doing their job

oh, and i don't buy phillips/magnavox cause they suck

i worked for a company, that reported to a section of a major company...and that section of the major company was downsized, so then everyone that i worked with was laid off too.
Stuff like this happens all the time. Its just the way things go. But who knows, maybe it was for the best. My dad has had to switch jobs almost every 3 years, and every time that we move, and he gets a new job, its always been for the better. Always more money, and a better area to live in.

I agree, business is business and unfortunatley, no matter where you work, especially if it's a bigger company such as corporate america, it's worse. Even my company, i'm a manager and have to lay people off, it sucks, but it happens.....

Yeah, I don't buy phillips crap anyway. In fact I ripped their arse off once on a rebate. i bought the thing, sent in the rebate and returned the item and got my rebate and the money for the item back. Woot!

Unfortunatly the practices your family is a victim of happens everyday in the world. In fact my company is downsizing a bit just so one of the big wigs can have a raise, laid off 2 people and cut back on hours in the shipping packaging department....cutting costs for them and making it harder for us to make ends meet....

Nobody has any loyalties anymroe, everyone is expendable, cut costs so I can buy my expensive italian car to make the rest of you feel like sh*t in your beater ass civics and carollas.

By myself a starbucks coffee bar for my home...

Ever seen fight club???
