i know everyone is sick of the term, but me and my friend were bored, so we came up with this list, if you have anything to add, or change to the list, do so.
How to Rice
(a guide to make your car look ridiculous)
1. LED Nozzles
2. Clear Lenses, Bulbs, Headlights.
3. "Altezza" Taillights.
4. Stickers: NOS (insert any products you will NEVER own) , "Hondasport", "Fear This", "Ain't Skeered"
5. Tint (mirror, preferrably)
6. Neons (interior/exterior)
7. Seat Cover
8. Adjustable Alum. Wing.
9. Universal Muffler, (5+" Tip)
10. Cutting Springs, Lowering Springs (cheap)
12. Body Kit, Fiberglass or 'CF Look' Hoods, Fenders.

ah peronsally i think most of those are wrong. rice is more of an attuide then what something is . people can have some of those things and still not be rice its just the way they show it off . like if they are driving around with the underbodys on trying to show off there car. and if u have a unpainted body kit and showing it off and u think are the shit. mirror tints can look nice on some cars 2 like on a silver car . altezzas look really nice on some cars like a silver one .nothing .

so my point is rice is an attude not and object. if a guy is crusing around in a version of your "riced" up civic minding his own shit. hes not rice. if another guy driving around with those things reving his engine up trying to race supras because he thinks hes fast because his muffler and his stickers her has on it. now thats rice.
plus alot of things u can make look nice if u know what to do with it.

2. I don't see anything wrong with clear corners on a teg or bimmer or something like that.
3. personal preference. as long as they are fully functional, they're fine.
4. Stickers are okay as long as they're tastefully done.
5. Mirror tint is gay. Black tint is functional and nice looking. It reduces the heat that gets in.
6. Everything in moderation.

8. Except for cars that actually need it. Most don't though.

10. Yup. Get new shocks unless it's unneeded.

Rice is pretending something is something it's not. Civic does not = F1 racer.
Err you point out clear headlights yet you have them.. tsk tsk... tint? thats rice? hahah.. okay.. i hate ppl who overuse that term.. rice is making your car look good now? body kit? so what? Rice was a term intended for ppl trying to make an import, econ box car fast.... hence rice burner... it's funny how ppl just associate rice w/ altezza lights, wings, blah blah wid rice... ppl who drive "real" fast cars consider rice as ppl tryin to make their slow cars fast w/ basic bolt ons like cai, headers, and exhaust.. and expect 50 hp gains.. sigh..
IF YOU HAVENT ALREADY REALIZED this car is SLOOWWWW... theres no point in dreaming of NEthing else... K20 swap? wtf buy a wrx if you include our car's price and the swap... Custom turbo.. lol a stock SI will prolly beat us since our cars dont take FI too seriously. So all in all the only way to go w/ this car is SHOW. So please stop crying about ppl "trying" to make their car look good. APPEARANCE is a opinion btw. So just cuz u dont like altezza dont mean everyone does. Just cuz sum1 put a wing in their car doesnt mean he's expecting to fly or gain 100 hp. Let me make a list of 5 things i hate seeing all the times in this forums..
1. People crying rice when all they have is I/H/E and car is still slow as hell..
2. People making fun of other cars cuz of wings, blah, blah, blah. LIVE W/ IT!! Cry me a river please.
3. People who makes a list of 10 things making fun of something.. yet has currently done/have at least one of the things in the list. Hypocrites..
4. Overuse of terms and think they're cool by using it..
5. Dreaming of making an econbox that uses ULEV.. and have to spend nearly 10 grand to make it decent fast.
6. PPL who still havent accept the fact that they drive a slow car.
7. PPL who think there is A WAAYYY better gain in catbacks than axlebacks.. Face it.. the gain is nearly none. There are exceptions but not w/ our cars
8. PPL who act like they know something but are no better than the average.. err too much of that..

I wasn't saying all the things on the list are riice. If you would read it, we were making a list, making fun of the way ricers prioritize their mods, not listing what mods are rice
One thing I don’t understand is, why do people sit hecka low?? Like to the point where you can’t even see the driver because their seat is so low. To the point where the driver can’t even see where he is going. What’s the point of having your seat so low?? Does riding low in your seat make you cool or something?? Is that considered "rice"??
i think the main thing that defines rice/not rice is what elvis said...if its functional its ok. but then again, theres limits to function....5" exhaust dont do nothin for you IMO.
same goes for those flame thrower exhaust things...if you dont have a v8 roadster that can actually spit flames on its own, your car shouldnt do that.

Where in that whole sentence did you say you're making fun of ricers "prioritise" their rides? I'm not jumping on you.. dont take NEthing personally just saying.. tired of the word "rice" being thrown around.. when most ppl don't know where the word originated... Look i work w/ a bunch of old heads who used to raced w/ el caminos.. GTOs.. blah blah.. they like to laugh at imports.. and "bolt ons". From what they are saying "Rice" was a term used because of it being "import" a.k.a Asian Import.. Asian=Rice.. And the exhaust sounds like a rice can.. blah blah.. Now it's being used for appearance wise.. tsk tsk...
All I'm saying is.. Since I got a body kit and a black "tint" and now just got TYC altezza.. I only did it cuz I hate the stock look... AND 2001 civic looks ugly w/o mods to its appearance.. I can the reasons why its ugly stock.. BIG TRUNK... TOO HIGH... The car's shape.. blah blah.. SO imma modify my appearance... err ive said too much.. im just venting like i said.. had a bad day.. lol DONT TAKE IT PERSONALLY sheesh...
i think some of you are taking it a bit too far, anyone can have their own opinions as to what 'rice' really means. but for the most part, its things like turning an economy car into a race car. although cool and somewhat entertaining, its almost redundant. which is why i waste my time doing what i do with my car
i guess i'll try to clear up what we were going for. We were trying to say how WE (as in our opinion) think its dumb to make a car look fast before you make it fast. IMO a body kit should be the last thing you do to a car, if you want to do it, not one of the first.
