Strange Toilet Thing

When I travel, especially places in the Middle East or Far East, alot of the toilets have a hose beside 'em to wash yourself after, well you know. Why is that not a European/American thing as well? Being of Indian/Persian descent myself, I would love to have a hose beside the toilet. Wet toilet paper always comes apart... Yes, it's my day of strange topics.

europeans have bidets....they look like lower and wider-bowled toilets

You're right, I have seen bidets in some European bathrooms, especially the soutern European countries.

Come to think of it, one of our Italian friends has a bidet in their house.

in japan you can get toleits that have more buttons that your remote controll, like to spary warm/cold water up, air dry you, keep the seat warm, ect.... i thought they were pretty cool but some can get really expensive

I always wanted a heated toilet seat, but then I thought about it, and I actually enjoy that split second when your ass hits the pad for the first time and it is ball-shakingly cold.

When I was in Japan 2 years ago I couldn't even figure out how to use it.
