I just called the dealer just to see what the warranty situation would be if i put an intake on... he told me word for word... "That would void your entire warranty for Engine, transmission, emmision systems... basically everything but the power windows." I said how about exhaust? "Voids the same" I said how about a muffler? "The same" Hey, as long as i got my power windows im set... WTF?? Anyway, how can a muffler void my warranty seeing as i can go to like meiniki and get a muffler and it doesn't void it. I think this guy isn't getting laid at home and is taking out on me. Any take on the situation?

yea... at the dealer i got my stuff at he said it will only void the parts that it effected if something went wrong... like if whatever the intake is hooked up to fails and the engine blows then yer fcuked... but if u have an intake and the battery dies then its not voided... u get it? i cant explain very good but u prolly have an idea...
milford what? ct?

putting an intake on means you void the warranty on.... the intake...
now, if something happens to your car and they can prove it was because of the intake, you're f**ked
but, if you have an intake and your tranny eats it, or your engine starts burning oil because the rings are bad, and the intake didnt cause anything, you're ok...
depends on dealership. after about 15k miles or beating the hell out of my car, my syncros started to go. took it in and they fixed for free even though i had an intake, headers, and underdrive pullies at the time (no exhaust or swaybar). only thing i had to put up with was the head mechanic yelling at me for half an hour almost
Thanks for the replies, I'm just going the mods anyway, I haven't heard of anybody having any engines blown or anything.. right? Anyway, on the same topic sorta... what are the chances of hydrolock on a SRI? I would say slim because I sprayed the hell outta my car when I cleaned it top and under the engine bay and no water on the intake area. They should have kept my member status at newbie heh. I'm not ready to be a member lol
