im watching the local news right now...about a guy who killed a guy while drag racing...
i think this happend at the time when F&tF came out. anyway,,he was in a corvette, the other car was a lambo...the corvette hit head on with a volvo..there was a couple inside, the husband died.
so he got 5 years in jail...and this is supposed to serve as an example for racers
just thought i'd share.

true but for a person with no prior convictions or criminal record, its pretty harsh, just think if u had to go in now, it would be pretty freaky, basically his life is over.....

Yah but so is the husbands. So the guy should get life in prision. An eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth.
The guy got what he deserved. It's not harsh by any standards--he killed someone. This goes to show you that street racing will not be tolerated at all.
They have drag strips, auto crosses, and open days on race tracks for a reason. He does deserve more then 5 years. He killed some womans husband and some little kids father. SAD!
ya cant think of many other times where you only get 5 years for killing someone, should have got a few more, I mean DAMN, if some 16 or 17 year old came up to me and was like "im 22, lets have sex..." and she might look 22 or older, if I say yes and she turns me in, I GET 20!!!! so yes he should get more, and the little girl should get life for trying!!
That's rediculous. It doesn't matter if you do it with a car, a gun, your bare hands, or a chainsaw, killing is killing. If it was by any other method he would've gotten more. That really is a slap on the wrist. He really should have gotten life with no chance of parole and every chance of being someone's b#&ch.
im actually surprised he only got 5 years thats very little time for killing someone. i thought he would have gotten many more years just because the courts would want to teach people a lesson for streetracing. oh and qucksilver i think u misunderstand people's comments no one said it was harsh that he got 5 years.
I was replying to the comment which appeared earlier in the thread stating "true but for a person with no prior convictions or criminal record, its pretty harsh, just think if u had to go in now, it would be pretty freaky, basically his life is over..... ." So, I was correct to assert that it was not harsh at all.

I think this is a case of manslaughter.. 5 years and the guilt he has to live with should scar him well.
