how do i rent a house to some normal people. so far 25 peeps called about it, maybe 6 came to actually see the house, and 0 brought back the application. a few of em seemed like they really wanted the place and very nice but no reply back. they just forget or something. its $1250 a month, 4 bedroom, 2 bath, 1/3 acre backyard with fruit trees, house is about 30 yrs old but not run down inside (remodeled kitchen, new appliances, remodeled wood burning stove, newly painted walls). idk what else to do with it. its got wood floors too and a big 2 car garage plus space in driveway for 3 cars.

call ur local real estate agents. i know my aunt used a REMAX agent (don't know if u fukkers have it in Nevada) to find a renter for her house. she says it's only a 1k+ something one time fee once everything is settled with the renters.

if u feel like they were interested, how bout u follow up on them?
is ur pricing competitive around the area?
we already moved to new house, but we need the rent money to pay some of the mortgage on this new place. the old place is fairly priced for the size, so idk. the family i really liked was a drop-in and didnt leave a number so no way to contact. i mean if theyre interested i told em to bring back the app but nobody did. somethings scaring them away i guess lol.

Gosh, I wish I lived in Reno. I'm paying $1825 for a two bedroom two bath apartment. Sigh.
(Lordhelmet) you would be better of buying a house or appt because you are just wasting money that doesn't need to be wasted. All of the money that you are dumping into rent could be building up equity in a house or appt. instead you are just kissing your money goodbye. In fact, you would probably pay a lower mortgage on a house or appt that you own rather than the rent you are paying right now. Just a little word of advice. I hope i was helpful. Good luck!

you could still do it and you could get a couple of roommates to help you pay rent. but the house will be in your name. you would not have to pay too much. your roommates would practically be paying the mortgage for you and all of the equity is building up and in the end you are the one that gets the cash when you decide to sell the place because the house would be in your name only.
