I'm an accounting major, graduating in December(and also a dual minor in economics and audio visual art). I'm going to become a CPA, and to do so in Oregon, you need to work over a year with a public accounting company. So... being I'm about to graduate I've applied to two firms that I hope to work for. They are both in the Portland area, so I can be close to home and my friends. I landed interviews and they are tomorrow afternoon, back to back. Tomorrow is a super long day for me though. I'll probably be trying to find some friends to go out to the bar with me or I'll be so exhausted that i"ll just be laying in front of my computer watching hulu.com when i'm done. I rented every book at the library on interviewing, going over them now. I'm getting sleepy though.

dont think too much. ive done the best in interviews where i did nothing to prepare and just went in without worries. its just an interview afterall. if you make it a huge deal then yeah you will freak out.

Thanks guys! I just finished reading the second book today on interviewing and what questions they will ask you. I dunno, I'm just tripping a little kuz I fear the stress interview, where the guy plays the asshole and makes you sweat it out, trying to see if your good under pressure or not. I dont know if they'd do that for the first interview. I'm pretty set I think. I think i'll skip takewondo tomorrow so I'm not sweaty, lol... that saves a change of clothes.
But yeah accountants make good money in their later years. Straight outta college your guaranteed 40k. Once your CPA licensed you make a lot more, eventually in the +100k range. Its a good career, you just gotta be able to keep your head in it, its def not an easy career.
I'm with all kind sof girls who arn't right for me. But luckly they are beautuiful and never really deal with the same one on a daily basis. For example, I went out with Adrienne on Friday after my golf tournamnet. Saturday, I met up with Allision at the club. And supposed to go out with Angel on Tuesday.
And for some reason now that I think about it I have a thing for girsl who names start with A.
Just don't let the girls stress you out. There are plently out there. If you can't enjoy yourself its not worth your time.
FYI 1st interviews are usually HR interviews. They make sure you have a decent personality, look professional, don't smell bad, and meet the minimum qualifications. But always be sure to close the deal by asking whats the next step for you getting the position. Or some type of closing question.
Damn that sucks...but coming from a girls point of view...if she's ignoring you like that its most likely cuz she's paying too much attention to someone else and she don't have time for you...what a bitch...you should dump her
Shit man.. first interview I rocked, second one was in another building.. I got there and no1 came out of the room, I knocked 1 minute after my start time, thinking it was a test to see how bold I was... No1 was in there. I went back to the career center where they set up the on campus interviews and told me it was in that room, I insisted it wasnt... Then they found my interviewers in another room, and we started about 7 or 8 minutes late of a half hour interview. Lame, I was kinda sweating a little on the forehead from running between the buildings, it didnt go as well as I hoped. There were two ppl instead of just one which threw(sp?) me off.
Whatevers, I'm tryna find someone to get a burger and a brew with me but I cant find anyone that wants to eat now that its 6pm! Gheyness
So "gf" jumped on facebook today and edited her "relationship status" ... no longer in a relationship.
We never got around to talking yet, but I guess that tells ya what it was about. I feel like a free man, yet and a little bit at the same time feel like the rug was yanked out from under me
Word. She pulled the old facebook break up on you. That's weak sauce. Now go start hanging out with all the girls from class and don't let them cheat on you like the last one did.
haha, true that man... fuckin girls are straight stupid some times. I'm glad we're done tho, like I just couldnt handle her shit... she was unapprechiative, volital, no fun... blah blah blah. Like honestly, I'm a chill dude and hardly anything gets me worked up. Well with this girl, I was actually in traffic at one point and yelled at my steering wheel... she always yelled about whatever and I was like wtf, not cool. She seemed to love to argue. I really have a hard time trying to figure out what it is that I liked about her when we were together. Lameness.
