the notorious shake they refer to is the common shaking/rattling of the entire car... commonly known to make radios coms out of the dash.. haha.. but it was more common on a b-series than a K.... when i had a gsr with hasport mounts in my hatch man that thing vibrated like there was no tomorrow...
my K swap with the hasport mounts in my coupe has slight vibrations.. but its barely noticeable and is not as bad as a B

And not everyone wants a K20 lol. I like my car the way it is. Having no problems or anything is the way to go. I'd rather not have the interior of my car shaking.
if i got a K20, it would be in a DC5. i'm not doing a swap. not worth the headache. i've never ridden in a car with a swap so i don't know about the vibrating. i know that my father in law's DC5 doesn't vibrate. his car is smoother at 8000RPMs than my ES1 is at 6000!!! i'll probably be getting a truck long before that so it's really not an issue.

Lol now why would I do all that searching just to prove a stupid point. I read it a bunch of times, that's enough for me. I'm just telling you it shakes from what I've read. I'm not all pro expert on K20's. I actually don't give a shit about them lol. Why would you waste all that money on a engine to throw in a car, let alone a civic? I mean, I give props for people doing that, but still a little pointless. Why don't you just buy the car with the engine in it? I would much rather have a RSX Type S than a civic lol. But whatever.

Proving a point.... i had a question.... i tried to get the info for myself and couldn't. Due to u saying "Read some old threads." i decided to try to find what you were talking about. Seeing as how thats the only way anyone say's anything is because they have facts and evidence to back what they say, i thought u knew where i could find this info. thats y i asked; i had no knowledge of this.
as for spending money on the car... some people spend alot of time and effort into modding their cars, not just engine wise, but even interior and exterior wise, and some people want to stay with the same car for a good while. Lol most people fall in love with their first car and modding it to they way they like it. but then again thats just my $.02
I myself am not one of these people who would spend money on a engine swap, because my civic isn't the car i want to stay with for a long time :/ I'd love if i bought it with a k20 already in it yea, or if someone put one in there for free, but i don't have the money, and if i did, i'd be saving up for the car i love.
eh... im done... lost interest

Lol I know proving a point. I said that in my post, did you read, "now why would I do all that searching to prove a stupid point". I'm not trying to be an azz or anything, I was just saying it shakes some lol. I don't remember what the title of threads were, but I saw them in posts. If I tried searching anyway, like 500posts would come up about a K20 from like...just 1week ago lol. So there's no point in me searching. I know I saw it, so that's good enough for me.
I completely agree with you on that. I love my car, it's like my baby. I mod it, but I don't see the point in putting all that money/effort just for a 200hp engine, you know?
Lol. Later. You'll probably read this, so you really haven't lost interest.
I have a K20A2 in my car. I can personally testify to the vibrations....like a mo-fo. As for spending the money on it, my car is paid off. So when I found a wrecked type-s for 2500 I couldn't pass it up. Now I'm hooked on making some people look stupid. Not saying its the fastest thing but many people underestimate four cylinders, especially civics. It's also very satisfying when you have accomplished it.
