My parents owned 2 when I was younger
They actually lasted a very long time, got great milage (because they were diesel) and finally died when the cars got into wrecks. Still, tough little cars...
But if you are serious about wanting a Chevette over a Civic... then I feel sorry for you. Just the name alone.... makes me want to beat the car with a sign
