this had to have been the shittiest vacation ive ever been on. i had such great expectations too. we stayed at the oasis cancun (bad) our room flooded everyday, our air condition didnt work, tv didnt work, and the toilet and sink didnt work half the time either. we would wake up every morning w/ 4 or 5 people in our room working on the bathroom. the pipes busted every time you took a shower. food sucked. hotel people sucked. everything sucked.
mexico smells like straight shit too and they try and rip you off for everything and they usually succede considering most people arent familiar with the money and theyre drunk half the time.
my friend got kicked out of the hotel second night because some mother****ers were smoking weed on our balcony (second floor) and screaming at people if they wanted weed or wanted to hit it.
my other friend got arrested right as we got back into america because he had an arrest warrant out for him. so right as he got off the plane customs agents grabbed him and hes spending the night in jail in at atlanta tonight.
i could go on and on about this. they only thing i liked was the clubs and the scenery. worst vacation of my life. ill never go to mexico again.

Your buddy getting arrested shouldn't have anything to do with how you liked Mexico. He had a warrant and could have just as easily gotten arrested driving to the airport before you left. Did he know he had a warrant? Cause you know you are going to have to go through customs.
Regarding the hotel, was it an expensive place or the cheapest you could find? Sometimes you get what you pay for.
I went to Playa del Carmen (south of Cancun) in January and thought it was pretty nice, but I think a lot has to do with the quality of the place you choose to stay. JMHO.

You must have gotten a shitty room then, I went to Cancun in February for my spring break, and stayed at the Oasis Cancun, I had the greatest time of my life, our room was perfect, no problems at all, the food was decent, not the greatest but what do you expect there were 7 different places to eat on the resort and all of them were free (all inclusive) the service was great all you had to do if show them a little bit of gratitude ($5), best time of my life, the smell of mexico was a little strong at first but you got used to it withing a couple hours, and the shopping, scenery, tourist shit and bars were out of this world, amazing, for anyone else who goes I highly suggest Club Coco Bongo, Jimmy Buffets Margarittaville, Senior Frogs and The Barn. Bets trip ever, and I've been to a few places before.

I told you about The Oasis Cancun, didn't I?!Remember?! hah At least, it doesn't sound like you're sick yet. We were sick for a week after coming back home from that place.
Sorry you had to experience that stuff, but not all of Cancun is like that. I bet if you were to go to Moon Palace you wouldn't be saying hpw bad it was! But then again, first impressions are always lasting ones.

I went to Cancun Oasis about a month ago... and i had the best time of my life... The hotel wasn't the greatest, but exactly... you get what you pay for... it was perfect for the one nighters
Cancun Oasis is the perfect place to party in because its a bunch of younger people that all want to party, and because of that its not gonna be the classiest place around...
The clubs were untouchable, and the crowds were loads of fun...
As for being sick... its normal... on vacation with all the drinking and partying there is only so much abuse that your body can take...
I would definately go again, even to Oasis just because u're there for the parties, and not for the relaxation..
And for those that do go... make sure u hit up The City, La Boom, Senior Frogs, Coco Bongo, and the grimey Foam Party....
