I am so stupid when it comes to this kind of thing. Okay, my gf and I are goin out with one of our other friends and his gf. Alright so we do dinner, a movie.. what else? Obviously the flowers are a definite must. I don't know what else to get her cuz I got her a whole shit load of stuff for xmas. I mean, money is no object, especially when it comes to her.. but I'm really fresh out of ideas on what to get her or what other plans we can come up with. So throw in your suggestions..

Yea i'm kinda in the same boat, I got reservations at this badass restaurant, I could only get a spot after 9:30pm but they stay open till 2am. So i'm thinking of doing something before like a movie, then make it a late night thing, get some wine & stuff like that. I know roses are a given, but I just dont know what to buy her as far as like teddy bears & stuff like that I suck when it comes to this kind of stuff. This is my first real girlfriend, so I want it to be really special. So yea...any ideas would be nice.
How old are you guys? How long have you been with her? What is she into?
I would say to get her a really nice card...Maybe one of those blue mountain cards...You dont have to get her a teddy bear or candy or even flowers...That is so plain and the Usual. Use your head...Get her something out of the oridnary. Something special that she is going to remember....
This year my fiancee and I are trying to save money, because we are getting married this summer and money has been tight. We are only spending $10 on each other and then we are going to have a picnic. I know its winter and its 19 degrees out...but we are going to have a picnic on the floor in my apartment....Get som candles, some music, some wine....very romantic.

bought tix for a concert she's been wanting to go to which is actually on v-day, then got a hotel room next to the venue so we don't have to drink & drive, she'll be happy I hope
as for advice on what to do, just do something out of your heart that you think she'll like. odds are if you really know this girl and you do something you think she'll like, she will LOVE it
Valentines day is so commerically stupid, I feel no obligation to celebrate any part of it short of going to school or work. From Groundhog day till V-day all my female-friends do is talk about what they want their pussie whipped boyfriends to do for them and i always get on their case about it. This would be such a great subject to flame but i'll stop short cause i know some of you want to believe its more then just a commercialization holiday. Oh well, to each his own, hope you dudes get laid in the end, i don't need me no fake love holiday to get some though, peace out.

weddings certainly are expensive - good luck civicdude, and it's a good sign that both of you are happily compromising and she isn't getting hung up on it being Valentines day and expecting something big.....

no matter how commercial it is, if you have a girlfriend and you use that as an excuse to not do anything for her, you're an idiot. my roommate's boyfriend told her he's not going to do anything because he says it's made up and therefore illegitimate. who the hell cares?? unfortunately he's not the type to say that just so he can surprise her later....i wish he was cuz he's gonna be in trouble.
i duno what i'll do for my bf, but it won't be anything big. he has a game that day back in the city (dc) so i'll go to that and then i think we're just gonna chill and maybe go out to dinner or something. he's not big on giving me flowers and such ( ) but hey, as long as we're spending time together...
