u guys wont believe this, i was going around checking body shops on how much they would charge to paint my body kit, i was getting estimates from about 350-600 just for the paint until i stop at this one redneck owned shop. i come in and ask him about the paint job and he quotes me $1600 just to paint it and $2500 doe paint and install. i was like "whoa, y is it so expensive", he says its cuz they use the best availible paint and give lifetime warrenty on thier paint. i wasnt in the mood to argue so just for the hell of it i asked how much they charge to repaint the whole car and the dude says ATLEAST $5500 but after all is done prolly about 6 grand. i said that as soon as my dad gets home i'll get the money and come down here right way. anyway, did any1 hear a rediculous price like that b4 or maybe the guy was just joking with me lol

ya right...the most expensive paint was on aces widebody civic..complete color change with a kustom house of kolor paint. it was 3500 with some body work.

6gz? what a rip. A friend purchased the new STi from Subaru and he said Subaru charges 10gz extra for the Silver one. With that kind of money you could get a bomb ass paint job.
everyone is saying $6,000 is way too much but a couple months ago i started a thread asking how much it would cost for a paint job and everyone that replied said at least 6 g's. WTF?
I'm sanding my car down but my family is friends with this guy that owns a body shop. Right now I'm currently looking at 2 different house of kolor flakes to go onto a black base colour. I'm not so sure how much its going to cost but he said I'd be droppin a g on materials then he'll paint for cheap. The thing is, he said he won't install the bodykit but thats alright becuase I'll do it anyway. It should fit fine because it won't be glass.
The guy I know would've done my car for about 2g if I sanded it.. And thats still with specialty colour (nothing like flakes but still a nice pearl). But he still wouldn't mount my kit.
Thats a Canadian price also..
