why does racing have to be involved with gambling? i swear, tons of people ask me to race but its "you gotta throw down 50" or "100" and im like, no lets just race for the hell of it, and theyre like naah man its gonna be "real" street racing and im like "well, be real and go **** yourself"

Couldn't agree more. As long as the car will play some decent sounding tunes I'm happy. But I'd be hella pissed if I walked outside and the trunk is open with all the speakers and amps gone. Its a lot more fun to go fast than it is to turn up the volume knob.

Personally, I would go with sound. I have more of a "show" than "go" mentality though. I could care less about being really fast in a Honda. If I wanted speed, I wouldn't have bought a Civic.

Werd.
However, if you're worried about your ride gettin' jacked, then get a decent alarm system. When it's installed properly, they can't just cut wires to make it stop, because the wires are all hidden (ie. wrapped just like or with factory wiring harnesses). And if you wanna go mad crazy, get an alarm with the page system, where it will page your key fob if someone is screwing with your ride. At that point, I would say the sky's the limit. With such a small cabin, and the efficiency of alot of speakers now, you could rattle the fillings out of your teeth without much difficulty. And if you want some extra protection, make sure you sound deaden your ride (ie. fat-mat and expanding foam) and don't have it pounding when you pull into a parking lot and such, that's just advertising what you have.

Where im from, well at leats in my area racing means going to the mountains and keeping yourself from spinning out heh. Thesrs a lot of F&F ricer drag kiddies here too. Perosnally i think racing in a straight line is talentless plus two kids i know got killed street racing liek last week cuz they are dumb and were doing over a 100 in a DC3 and hit a curb..... idiots... the pasenger just bought a 911 Turbo too.... ttoo too bad

all speed, for the sound in the car already isnt bad, but its loud enough for me, and i hate more that my car is slow rather then not blowing down windows, the only thing that bugs me about sound is that i need a way to play my 2 gb of music
depends on the car, if i had say $5k to spend on either speed or sound, and i had a supra, then yes, speed, but on my civic, well, i'll be more pleased with the results of a $5k sound system then i would with mods, thats just my view though (my system is getting pricey, well over $3k so far, and it aint even special, lol)
20 gig harddrive. I have it in my car now with 1800 songs and its not even halfway full and they were all transfered wirelessly. I also have the home unit. Its nice to be able to listen to all my mp3's thru my home system or take it out to the garage without burning cd's.

wow can i get more info on this? it seems pretty tight, but too lazy to go thru the site and all.. LoL
I would rather go sound,
speed on an LX A/T... errr hmmm....
and how do you guys plan to get a your civic fast?
and sound all the way i plan on doing both when i get my trans am because one 10" can sound great in f-bodies but i plan on getting two 10" to save space

Preach it my brother. But seriously if you start racing for money it then becomes a job and jobs are not fun. You work for money not to have a good time. I agree with ya man, I race for an adrenaline(sp?) rush. Money I can get from some overtime, showing some kid that he isn't the hottest thing in town....PRICELESS.

Go sound first, our cars arn't ment for speed as it is so get yourself a CAI and good exhaust after the amps and subs.. besides I enjoy working on my cars ICE (when I know what I'm doing) .. whereas engine and such can be a pain and you need to match up what you get a crap.. just easier to get sound now, drive around blazed and listen to the highs and lows carry you.

i dont care how your alarm is installed, i could have it disabled before it goes off...
ahh.. the joys of being an installer.
the one major rule is: if someone wants your stuff, they will get it somehow.
