New Part: Turbo Blockguard D17

Found it on Ebay: Turbo Blockguard D17 Honda Civic 01-03 SOHC At least there's one available now that's specific to our engine. They reccomend welding it in place. Anyone ever hear of these things being welded into place?

Helps the combustion chamber stay together at high cylinder pressures. You'll probably blow out your head gasket before you'll need this thing though, so you'll need an equally good head gasket and head studs to help you mate the head and the block properly. Anyway, just something that helps to keep your cylinder walls intact near the combustion chamner. I.E. at the top of the cylinder near the head.

I think by "welding" they mean, tac welded in place. Once you start boosting, the cylinder walls are going to rattle and the guard would probably just slip down to the bottom. Then it's pretty useless.
