DRL == Daytime Running Lights, standard on all Canadian cars. It's half voltage going to your high beams, which give a nasty yellow colour to some 'xenon' bulbs.

My PIAA Xtreme bulbs are nice and white in low beam, nice and white in high beam, but dirty stock yellow in DRL mode.

Anyone know? If you do, post the low beam colour, high beam colour, and DRL colour.

heh, my friend used to run "hyper white" daytime running lights... can't even see them during the daytime. There is a reason why they are yellow, but yes i'd change them hyper white, too. Fashion over Function, lol.

IDQcivic should not be trusted
you'll probably burn your bulbs out if they're getting half the voltage. I have the PIAA h1 and h3's and they need the full 12 volts to work properly.

it's usually just the opposite, the lower the voltage, the longer the life.

Just leave them the way they are...

In the middle of the day the DRL's will look yellow because the sunlight is brighter than everything!!!!!

Sucka, the bulb you are looking for is PLASMA XX... exactly same as SuperPlasma, but both 5000K on high and low beams (which means 5000K on low beam too, since it runs off the high beam part).

It's Japan ONLY.. however some shops like Taika Japan are exporting them for a cool $140USD, plus shipping, with NO WARRENTY. Yeehaw.
