Do not buy ceika brake kits

I highly recommend that you do not buy brake kits from Ceika - unless perhaps you have first hand knowledge that they fit your car. I purchased a Ceika brake kit for my Saab and, even though it does not fit, Cedric, the owner of Ceika, will not refund my money - but, unfortunately for him, I am an attorney - so I am taking him to court and I will be getting my money. I am warning as many car gurus out there to avoid this guy and company.

Hello Everyone.

Thank you for supporting us

As enthusiast and small company owner, it feels really annoying when other car enthusiast try to ruin your reputation and are going into lots of trouble when small and normal problems like this are occurring. Especially when you don't tell people all the truth and make it sound like we sent you a BBK that's entirely wrong. Having to run spacers is a standard issue when fitting bigger brakes in OEM wheels without checking the templates for clearances before buying. Brake makers cannot be responsible for that.

We are passionate about developing new application for rare or old car models because thanks to our small company size and custom built order system we are able to make kits for any car (and coilovers to) at no extra cost. We are not concerned about how many units of a certain car model were produced and if it will be worth it or not to develop a kit for it.

We first had a great contact with Justin and we looked forward to make a kit for his Saab 9-3 Viggen so he could let all the Saab owner know about our unique bolt-on products as we have a special feature that is very unique to make bolt-on rear big brake kits with bolt-on parking brake for Saab cars. It is also the same system on all the Honda/Acura (See pictures below).

We told him on the chat that we were wondering if the production model was the same with the Viggen and standard models through the year range. We went with the standard 9-3 specs and when he received the kit it didn't fit. We guarantee perfect fitment of all our kits. At that point he requested a refund and we told him that as per our warranty and since our kits are custom, we guarantee perfect fitment and we send replacement revised parts free of charge.

Justin accepted to keep the kit and get the revised brackets sent asap. At the beginning he was still telling us that the knuckle was the same as non-Viggen models and that his part supplier said it was the same too but apparently the specs were different and thanks to Justin we were able to get the proper measurements for the Viggen. We made the new brackets and sent it to him express free of charge as we state on our website. Along with adapters for the brake hose. Those should make the brake hose direct fit and it is what we send usually with the kit for the male/female adaptation. If the hose still didn't fit you should have let us know and we would have sent you new ones.

He then told us that he was concerned about the fitment in his stock wheels that it will not fit the wheel barrel. But we told sent him the templates at that point to check and Justin confirmed that it would fit the wheel. We advise wheel fitment on our product page but we state it's not 100% sure and it depends on the spoke design but that can be solved easily with spacers as the kits fit in the wheel barrel size stated. The only way to be 100% sure is to check the templates. When the customers don't check the templates before buying (like most of our customers) we assume that they are ready to use small spacers in case of small problem fitment.

It's not like the kit is faulty or cannot fit the car. The specs are perfect for the Viggen, we are not going to revise them since there is nothing wrong with it and the kit is made to offer the best clearances. We cannot accept a return for our custom products if nothing is wrong with the kit. We only accept returns if the kit is not performing as it should or if nothing can be done to fit the kit.

We even proposed to Justin to help him pay for a set of spacers. We have never let a customer with a kit that was faulty or couldn't be used or installed on a car without finding a solution. We are passionate about our products and we cannot let that happen. But when buying custom made products people need to be aware that you cannot just change your mind and return an item like at the supermarket this is why we cannot accept returns if the customer just change his mind about fitting the kit. Another condition is to return the kit within 15 days and it has been way past that delay and Justin had already accepted to make the kit fit and accept to have revised parts sent instead of returning the kit.

We had many other solutions available, we have smaller kits in 4 pot 330x28mm and also in 304x26mm with the 2-pcs rotors it will still make a massive upgrade in endurance, braking performance and pedal feel while making the assembly lighter and should fit nicely without spacers under the stock wheels.

We hope that Justin will reply our email and find a solution instead of spreading a bad name everywhere when this is just a normal issue of not checking the printed templates before buying bigger brakes to fit in stock wheels.
