Rep Power: 0 Two Turbo Kits & counting...
Hi everyone !
Wow it’s not even February yet and Full-Race (full-race.com) already has two turbo kits available for the 9th generation Civic Si K24 engine ! One from BorgWarner EFR, a all in one kit that is designed to work well with the stock engine. The other is a Garrett T Series that seems to require more technical modifications. Both recommend upgrading the stock plastic intake manifold (Oddly Full-Race does not yet offer this upgrade…Hmmm ?) Both have options for different turbo models ranging from 400whp to an unfathomable 700whp . The T-series seems to be more interchangeable in this regard from starting out with a lower whp model turbo and then upgrading to a higher output model later. Both companies have a stellar reputation for both reliability and performance with multi generations of civic tuning.
Anyway you slice, dice, or boost it, this is a great sign that many 3rd party tuning companies & engineers are not intimidated or daunted by the advanced k24 ! On the contrary they are anxious to get their greasy paws on the Honda’s newest power plant to design all kinds of tuning mods for the 201whp stock engine.
Now that is great news !
