I was thinking of going that way but an ebay intake will run me 30 shipped and then a good AEM dryflow filter will cost around $40. I found a short ram AEM for $100 shipped at clubcivic.com. Therefore i am looking for a used intake or maybe ill just save up and get the AEM. Or would it not be worth the extra $30?

i wouldn't get a used filter the pipe maybe . i would go the ebay route because a pipe is a pipe unless its a V2 intake also with the left over money you can buy two AEM filter cleaning kits because your going to need it eventually.

OK thanks for the advice. Since im a newbie with intakes i have read that alot of people have been having problems closing their hood with the ebay intake, is this true? i dont know if u know the answer but many complains are that the fit of the ebay intake isn't perfect.

well if it came down to not being able to close the hood it is just thin aluminium so just cut a little bit off and sand the edges thats what i did i bought the ebay HPS intake and it was hitting my strut bar so i trimmed it simple fix.

Hahaha that is a simple fix. Also by any chance do u know if an intake from a 1998 Acura EL will fit my 2000 ex?
