Ill let you know in a few weeks. Im installing mine tomorrow. I got a really easy set to install, just need to drill nice 1" round holes in the fender and two small pilots for teh self tapping screws. I dont think youll have problems with rusting
what kind of side markers are those & where did you find them? I was thinking about side markers but I didn't really want to cut out a big hole in my fender, I was wondering if they made any that just required drilled holes & no metal cutting.
You won't have problems with rusting if you apply some touch up paint around the area you cut or drilled. I kinda think it is better if you let the touch-up paint dry first than apply another layer of touch up paint then put in your sidemarkers.
i've had my side markers for over a year now. i got them off of ebay and had them installed and wired up to my blinker. he didn't use any touch up paint and i haven't noticed any rusting or nothing. he did spray around the side marker after installing it. he sprayed some of that water sealant stuff so no water can get up inside the side marker. he drilled 3 small holes on each side. two holes for the screws and one hole for the wiring. took him about 20 or 30 minutes to do the whole thing.
