All I get is red Xs for the pics on the DIY thread. Can someone please post or email me some pics of the blue dash lights installed. I want to see what it looks like before I do it. Thanks.

I did it today to my car and it look's SO cool I can't believe how good it look's. All it look for me is my time and some thin blue plastic. If you have question's about it just ask i will help you out. Also this is a picture i look it's not so good but it's not red.
instead of using gels from a lighting store which i thought was a lil hard to find. i used blue plastic transparent folders. you can get these at staples or officemax for like 69 cents a peice.. just get different shades and try it out. works just as good!

are they bright? or does it all depend? shoot i wouldn't mind getting like a pure blue one or somethin.[hr]
I think not very bright. Just look at how bright the stock ones are. Not very bright at all. You'de have to actually change the LED's back there to make it super bright.

I don't know if this one is still up somewhere, but I saved it: Dash light DIY[hr]
Anyone have an idea where to get the GELS listed here in the DIY Grey posted? I know you can order them from Parts Express out of Dayton, OH, but they have SEVEN different blue shades. I'm assuming the darker the blue the better?? The price they list is $2.25 for each 10" x 10" sheet. Anyone have experience here?
Shades of Blue they list:
Peac**k
Steel
Dark
Medium
Bright
Congo
Alice

How did you get it too good nice? The blue folders don't work too well.
One layer and the dash isn't no where near blue...its very light.
What did work was adding 2 layers of the folder or 1 layer thats been colored with blue sharpies.
The bad part about this is that the light cant penetrate so unless its really dark you cant tell.
For those of you who used stage lighting gel, is it a nice dark blue? Or is it light and approaching sky blue?
Which one? what's the different???
115 PEAc**k BLUE GEL SHEET 10" x 10"
117 STEEL BLUE GEL SHEET 10" x 10"
119 DARK BLUE GEL SHEET 10" x 10"
141 BRIGHT BLUE GEL SHEET 10" x 10"
132 MEDIUM BLUE GEL SHEET 10" x 10"
181 CONGO BLUE GEL SHEET 10" x 10"
?????????????
Find a store that does stage lighting. They will cary a million different colors. As for what it looks like this is what mine looked like in my old Civici:
