Crankshaft pulley bolt

So, somehow my pulley came loose and when i took it apart i noticed that the woodruf key and the gear around it were chipped. I took off the entire set up down to the rod that goes into the crankshaft. That's chipped too. So do i have to get a whole new crankshaft installed or can i just weld the small area where it is chipped?
Any other ways i can get around this problem and any ideas on the costs?

Re: Crankshaft pulley bolt

no there is no way to weld it, chances are you will never get it perfect and the crank may vibrate if its not balanced. its gonna cost alot
