2001 Civic trunk lining.

Hey guys,

The entire trunk lining in my civic is warped and coming off the body due to water damage from the hurricane. Also, the plywood (not sure what material) that lays over the spare tire is completely bent for the same reason, and because the spare tire has been used. How do I go about getting a lining replacement and wheel cover board? What would the cost run?

Thanks!

Re: 2001 Civic trunk lining.

you mean the cardboard piece and carpet that goes over it? i had to replace mine a while back and i think it was around $80 something for both. or you could get the honda trunk liner which is a plastic molded piece that fits over the carpet. youll have to order the cardboard and carpet from dealer, if you want the tray check handaaccessories.com

Re: 2001 Civic trunk lining.

Hey gearbox,

Thanks for your advise. I need both the trunk fabric that surrounds the entire trunk, AND the cardboard piece over the tire. I have included an image specifically showing what is. How would you suggest getting one?

Id check the dealer for the truck lining. As far as the cardboard goes. I have heard of people buying a piece of plywood and cutting it to match the cardboard. It supports additional weight.... That cardboard is kinda a joke if you ask me.

Ooh good idea.

My trunk floor is also warped... I wonder if it would bounce around a lot in the trunk if I just cut out a piece of plywood...

What sort of carpet/fabric should I cover it in?

Re: 2001 Civic trunk lining.

yeah dealer is the only one that has the side linings. and they are very expensive. i was gonna get some new ones cause mine had alot of folds and crumpled spots, but price was too high. you might try getting it wet, holding it in the proper position, then drying it off with heat gun or hair dryer. and yeah plywood is a good idea just make sure its not too thick cause that stuff gets heavy.
