fixing door handle that stick

I have a 95 5th gen civic lx. when I open one of the doors, the handle from the outside sometimes doesnt pull itself back in. You have to push it back in position for the door to close. What would fixing this require? would it just be taking the plastic off the door and spraying some lube on some things or could I have to replace some spring or mechanism? I am getting the car ready to sell, and I would like to fix this if it wouldn't be too hard. However, I won't fix it if it means putting a bunch more money into the car or a ton of work. Re: fixing door handle that stick

try to spray silicone lube in the side of the door where the latch mechanism is.

Re: fixing door handle that stick

I sprayed some WD-40 already and that didnt do much. Is that considered a silicone lube? Would this hinge most likely be the source of resistance keeping my door handle from from pulling closed?

Very good Elpie. Thanks for the smile. I think the Open Source is my favorite, but all the others are so good also.
