Best head gasket? Please answer ASAP. Thanks!

Re: Best head gasket? Please answer ASAP. Thanks!

why did you put this in the 7th gen section? i dont know for certain on the b series, but for the d17 the oem gasket is far and above the best one made.

Didn't see the section name. All I saw was "Forced Induction and...". So, there is no aftermarket gasket better than OEM.

Yes. The motor is fully built to include the ARP studs.

Another thing to consider is check your tune. Detonation could be a cause for a blown headgasket.

880 cc injectors keep it running rich. Almost too rich. All spark plugs look fine though.

Re: Best head gasket? Please answer ASAP. Thanks!

you dont want a beefy headgasket. if it doesnt give out when it should, you could blow up the motor. obviously theres a problem if it blew in the first place, id figure out why first before just wasting time replacing it.

Re: Best head gasket? Please answer ASAP. Thanks!

Driving the other day and turbo sucked in some water which bogged the engine down for a little bit (did not hydrolock), but the car ran fine for about a week. Then, we raced a Jetta last night and it was skipping because an injector plug had popped loose while we were racing. We stopped, popped it back in, and it ran fine until the head gasket blew.
