I got rid of everything chrome on my car since I'm going for the dark blue/bronze look, and the last thing I have left to deal with are my OEM emblems. I wanna have all my OEM emblems gold instead.
SO, this brings me to ask anyone here, who might be familiar with emblems, what's the best way to go about it?
I have a few guesses. The first obvious one is to buy them from the Honda dealership and switch each one myself. This probbaly costs the most but I know they offer the gold emblem kits. I could even get them off eBay most likely, but this still means taking off the current ones and attaching the gold ones.
Another option is to have them "gold plated" at some specialty shop. I'm not sure how they do this and the labor is probably just as much.
Most people on here end up painting their emblems, but honestly, this seems like a major hassle and the result could be a disaster and I'll regret it when I neither have gold nor the chrome but I'm left with destroyed emblems.
Then I had this idea of just staining the chrome somehow... with... something... to end up with a gold/bronze/copper look instead of chrome/silver. This would be easiest & cheapest, but so far I haven't thought of anything that would accomplish this. I'm sure there must be some household product that would stain the chrome a yellow tint.
So, any suggestions?

PM me if you know companies that are hiring.
Who cares if you mess them up painting them? I took mine off and I don't even know where they are. And even if you do mess them up (which you'd have to be pretty dumb) then you could just paint them back silver again.

If you paint them, pick up a can of etching primer- just clean the emblems free of dirt and grime and spray with the etching primer. It'll attach to the chrome thats on there, allowing you to skip sanding it off, and you can spray the paint right on- this is the easiest and most reliable way to paint any chrome like emblems.
